Acer announces Liquid Z3 entry-level Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone

Acer has unveiled a new entry level device, the Liquid Z3, running Android Jelly Bean OS on a dual-core 1GHz processor.

Acer has announced a new budget mobile called the Liquid Z3. This budget entry-level mobile runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a dual-core processor. The Acer Liquid Z3 will be launched in Europe in mid-August for €99 (approximately Rs. 8,000). The phone will be available in two colors: rock black and classic white, and comes with a range of accessories like flip-covers and replaceable back-covers in a variety of colors.

The Acer Liquid Z3 has a 3.5-inch HVGA display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4GB of ROM expandable via microSD card support. The Android device has a 3MP rear facing camera for clicking images and video recording.

The Acer Liquid Z3 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and has four different quick modes. It has a basic mode, a classic mode, a senior mode and a keypad mode for users. The basic mode is for users who are not familiar with a smartphone, the classic mode has all the main functions in a simple layout, the senior mode has a magnifier, quick contacts and finally the keypad mode for users that prefer to use the keypad straight away.

The Liquid Z3 comes with an optional dual-SIM card slot and supports connectivity features like WiFi, GPS, and HSPA up to 21 Mbps. The handset weighs just 120 grams and has sleek dimensions of 109mm x 60mm x 10.4mm. Users will also have access to Acer’s cloud storage for file sharing and media management.
