Lenovo teases its next flagship smartphone featuring Quad-HD display
The Lenovo K920 smartphone will feature a quad-core processor, 16MP primary camera and Android 4.4 KitKat.
Lenovo's next flagship smartphone, the K920, was spotted at China Mobile's booth at Mobile Asia Expo. The 6-inch phablet features a Quad-HD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution.
The K920 has a unibody design and is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 801 2.5 GHz processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with Lenovo's proprietary UI on top.. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It has a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 5MP front camera. The K920 supports LTE, NFC and dual-SIM connectivity. No details have been mentioned about the smartphone's launch date and price as yet.
The Lenovo K920 may be the rumored successor to the Lenovo Vibe Z and may be released as the Lenovo Vibe Z2 pro. The Vibe Z, which was launched last year, has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The phablet features a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash. It has a 5MP front camera as well. The tablet runs on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean, upgradable to v4.4.2 KitKat and has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The Lenovo K920 phablet will compete with Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 that is expected to be released this fall. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD resolution. It has a 16MP primary camera with optical stabilization and a 2MP front camera. The phablet will also have a UV sensor to support the S Health app.
