Lenovo launches Z400 and Z500 Windows 8 laptops in India

Lenovo has added two notebooks to its Windows 8 portfolio in India - the Z400 and the Z500, priced at Rs. 47,990 and Rs. 53,590 respectively.

Adding to their touch and type lineup, Lenovo has introduced two new Windows 8 powered laptops to their Indian portfolio – the Z400 and the Z500. Theses aren’t the first touch and type laptops to hit store shelves as we have seen the likes of Acer, Asus and more bring the touchscreen experience of Windows 8 to life.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 is priced at Rs. 47,990 and shows off a 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor running Windows 8 Pro. It has a 14-inch Backlit LED HD display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution. It houses 8GB of RAM, a 1TB HDD and Intel HD Graphics 4000. In terms of connectivity options, the laptop shows off a USB2.0, USB3.0 port along with a 2-in-1-card reader. It supports HDMI output as well. The onboard speakers on the laptop show off Dolby Home and the laptop also features a 720p webcam. It also houses a Blu-ray drive.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 on the other hand has a 15.6-inch Backlit LED display with a 1366×768 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the Z500 has a 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor and runs on Windows 8 Pro OS. It has 16GB DDR3 RAM and houses a 1TB HDD. In terms of connectivity options it sports USB2.0, USB3.0 along with a 2-in-1-card reader. It also has HDMI output letting you connect your laptop to a TV, projector or any other device. The Z500 also houses an integrated 720p HD webcam and the speakers also host of Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio certification. Just like the Z400, the laptop also houses a Blu-Ray drive. The Z500 will set you back Rs. 53,590.
