Mivi launches AI Buds with human-like conversational capabilities
Homegrown audio brand Mivi has launched its latest product, the Mivi AI Buds, which promises a unique fusion of audio hardware and emotionally intelligent artificial intelligence. Mivi claims these as the world’s first “human-like” AI earbuds that represent a new direction with a screen-free interaction model that mimics natural conversations.
SurveyThe earbuds will be available for purchase starting July 4, priced at ₹6,999, exclusively via Flipkart and Mivi’s official website.
A new kind of assistant
Unlike conventional voice assistants that rely on rigid commands, Mivi’s AI system is built around context retention, conversational memory, and emotional understanding. The company claims that the AI assistant can evolve over time, learning from each interaction to better serve users across a wide range of use cases from general knowledge and cooking, to wellness support and interview prep.
This functionality is enabled through a set of pre-trained AI personas called Avatars:
- Guru Avatar: Answers questions on diverse topics in a simplified manner.
- Interviewer Avatar: Conducts mock interviews and offers feedback.
- Chef Avatar: Guides users step-by-step through cooking recipes.
- Wellness Coach Avatar: Offers conversational support for emotional well-being.
- News Reporter Avatar: Delivers real-time news updates tailored to user interests.
The AI supports eight Indian languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Gujarati — with no need for language switching in the settings.
Hardware and audio specs

The Mivi AI Buds feature an hourglass-inspired design, contoured to follow the natural shape of the ear for improved comfort during extended use. On the audio front, the earbuds are equipped with high-resolution audio support and LDAC for delivering lossless sound quality. The inclusion of a 3D soundstage and spatial audio aims to create an immersive listening environment, enhancing both music and voice-based content. For calls and environmental noise reduction, the device integrates quad-microphone active noise cancellation (ANC), allowing for clearer conversations in noisy surroundings. Powering all of this is a battery setup that offers up to 40 hours of usage, optimised by custom firmware that balances real-time AI processing with energy efficiency.
These features are backed by custom firmware and AI optimisation, which Mivi says has been developed in-house. The company also highlights its focus on Indian voice data, with the AI trained across a wide range of regional accents and dialects to improve real-time recognition.
