Minecraft down: Thousands in India and US facing disruptions
Thousands of Minecraft players in India and the US faced login and server issues on Thursday evening.
Tracking platforms reported over 3,000 complaints at the peak, showing a widespread outage.
The disruption adds to a series of recent global platform slowdowns affecting multiple online services.
For many Minecraft players in India and the United States, Thursday evening turned into an unexpected pause in gameplay as the popular title ran into a sudden disruption, leading many to say Minecraft down while trying to access the game. Thousands of users said that the game was not loading or that they were unable to enter their worlds. Reports on outage-tracking platforms showed a steady rise in complaints through the evening, pointing to an issue that affected users across platforms and regions. The problem was most visible around 7 PM IST, when many players said the game froze or refused to connect. Although the cause has not been confirmed yet, the sudden spike in errors created visible concern among regular players who rely on the game for daily entertainment.

Tracking sites recorded more than 3,000 complaints at the peak of the slowdown. Most users said the game servers were not responding. Others struggled to log in. A smaller group reported that the game ran poorly even after it loaded. The pattern of complaints suggested that the issue was widespread and not limited to one location.
As the game stayed unavailable for many, players shifted to X to express their irritation. Some joked that they had nothing to do during their evening break. Others said they might need to step away from screens altogether. A few players shared that they were waiting to start long sessions and felt disappointed when the game stopped working right at the start.
Players of ARC Raiders also saw heavy disruption around the same period. Close to 20,000 users reported problems on tracking sites. Many said the game would not load or kept disconnecting, which added to the confusion among online players who wondered if multiple services were facing trouble.
Concerns over frequent outages
The Minecraft disruption has added to a growing list of platform slowdowns witnessed over the past few days. The trend began with a major Cloudflare breakdown last week that affected several well-known services such as ChatGPT, Canva and Perplexity. Soon after, users across India and abroad also reported problems on Google Meet, Netflix, Fortnite and other popular platforms. Many online communities have voiced concern about how often these interruptions are appearing, especially during peak usage hours.

Minecraft’s reaction
Minecraft has not shared an official explanation for the disruption yet. Players are hoping for a quick fix, especially as evening hours are usually the busiest for gaming in both India and the US. Tracking sites show that complaints are slowly coming down, suggesting that the situation may be improving. Until an official statement arrives, users have been advised to retry connections at intervals and avoid unnecessary login attempts.
