ChatGPT is the latest app to jump on the yearly recap trend with a new feature called ‘Your Year with ChatGPT.’ Much like Spotify Wrapped, the feature gives people a fun look back at how they interacted with the chatbot in 2025 with colourful visuals and personalised highlights. The experience includes custom awards that reflect different usage styles. For example, someone who often worked through problems or brainstormed ideas might earn a title like “Creative Debugger.”

But there’s an important catch. The feature is only available in select countries. For now, the ChatGPT recap is rolling out to users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
Access also depends on how you use ChatGPT. The recap is available to users on Free, Plus, and Pro plans, but only if they have turned on “reference saved memories” and “reference chat history”. Users must also meet a minimum activity level, reports TechCrunch. The feature is available on the ChatGPT website and on iOS and Android apps.
Not everyone is included. Team, Enterprise, and Education accounts are excluded, meaning people who use ChatGPT through work or school won’t see the feature.
In addition to usage highlights, Your Year with ChatGPT creates a short poem and an image that reflect the topics you spent the most time discussing.
The recap feature won’t automatically open or interrupt users. Instead, it will be prompted on the ChatGPT app’s home screen. Users can also access the feature by typing “Your Year with ChatGPT” or “show me my year with ChatGPT” into the chat.
