Eurogamer reported that Starcraft II producer Chris Sigaty, at Russian game expo IgroMir, announced that the beta for the game has been pushed to 2010. Prior to this announcement the beta was expected to start late this year. The cause for the delay has been reportedly been attributed to ensure Starcraft II release coincides with launch of the new Battle.net system.
Blizzard confirmed that the game is on track for its release in the second quarter of 2010, that is sometime between March and June next year. They haven’t confirmed on a start date for the beta; hwoever if they are to meet the release date, on would suspect the beta to start off early next year.
