Rovio launches new ‘Green Day’ Angry Birds Friends episode
Angry Birds developers Rovio Entertainment and multi-platinum selling band Green Day have partnered to launch a new episode of the Facebook-based game. The new episode features 10 new levels and new pig characters inspired from band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool.
The new episode of Angry Birds Friends also has Green Day’s latest track “Oh Love” and an exclusive number “Troublemaker”. Rovio says the partnership is first of its kind as it has brought in a blend of music, video and gameplay with content that is not available in other versions of Angry Birds game. Rovio will be releasing the updates for Green Day episode later this fall.
Rovio has previously launched a new ‘Pink Bird’ to its flock earlier this month. The company has been gradually expanding its Angry Birds game. Recently it added 15 new tropical levels in the original game, and announced a new “red planet update” for the Angry Birds Space.
Back in July, the company announced its first non-Angry Birds game, Amazing Alex. The new game, available for iOS and Android, is a physics-based puzzle based game.
