Rockstar is doing their best to avoid any further GTA 6 leaks: Here is how
GTA 6 Rockstar North office is under maximum security before November 2026 launch.
YouTuber ÜberGaming walked into Rockstar HQ, police visited him hours later.
Rockstar is reportedly using police escorts, 50 to 60 cameras and 24/7 lobby security for GTA 6.
It’s safe to say that GTA 6 has had one of the most leak-plagued developments in gaming. From the massive 2022 hack that showed off the in-game development footage to the first trailer getting leaked hours before the official reveal, and, not to forget, most recently, close to 34 employees being fired over confidential information. Naturally, due to all this, the game has seen several delays, but now that the game has finally locked in for a November 19, 2026, release, Rockstar is doing all it can to stop any kind of leaks from happening. But before that, let’s understand why it’s important for them to do all this.

People are literally walking in
Well, the security is getting tightened around because of a very specific incident involved. A few days back, it was reported that a German YouTuber called ‘ÜberGaming’ was filming the Rockstar employees walking through the doors into Rockstar North’s HQ. Later on, they were posting these clips onto platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
After the incident was reported, the police found the group and questioned them about their intentions. They even warned them about how they could face legal action for spreading any GTA 6 leaks. But since no information about the game was out, no arrests were made.
Not only this, but reports also suggest that multiple individuals have attempted to infiltrate Rockstar’s offices using fake employee IDs. Funnily enough, someone even tried flying drones near studio windows to capture gameplay footage. Given all this, it does make sense that Rockstar is trying their best to tighten up the security around the studios.
What maximum security actually looks like
The response from Rockstar and Scottish authorities has been pretty significant. According to reports, the Rockstar North office in Edinburgh is now operating at an almost ‘fortress-level’ protection. Let me expand further on this.
Well, the building has been covered by almost 50 to 60 security cameras. There is 24/7 security stationed around the lobby, and along with that, police patrols also pass by every 20 to 30 minutes. While the building is under serious protection, so are the employees working inside.
Reportedly, senior staff and key development team members are leaving the Rockstar office in taxis accompanied by police escorts. The studio is said to be protected under a special police programme at the request of the Scottish government.
Why Rockstar can’t afford another leak

It makes a lot of sense that Rockstar is trying their best to stay serious at this point in time, as the stakes from them here are quite enormous. Given the massive reported budget that the game is carrying, another leak at this late stage, when the game is already just months away from launch, could be very bad for Rockstar.
