Specifications

The biggest hardware change is the Arc Light Engine 2, which is fully sealed and dust-proof. Lumio claims 500 ANSI lumens, 1700:1 contrast and a 10% increase in DCI-P3 colour coverage compared with the previous Arc 7. The company says brightness has increased by 25% and contrast by 15%.

For users, the higher brightness should make the projector easier to use when there is some ambient light in the room, although 500 ANSI lumens is still more suited to controlled indoor lighting than a bright living room. The improved contrast and colour coverage should also help with dark scenes and more saturated colours.

The projector can now deliver an ideal screen size of up to 120 inches, compared with 100 inches on the previous model. This gives buyers more scope to create a large-screen setup without moving to a much larger television.

Storage has also doubled from 16GB to 32GB. This matters mainly for users who install several streaming apps and other Google TV applications. The projector runs Google TV on Android 14 and gets Gemini on Google TV out of the box.

The Arc 7 also retains features from the previous model, including STR8 auto-keystone correction, TOF autofocus and obstacle avoidance. Its audio system uses two 8W speakers with Dolby Audio support.

What’s new

The Arc 7 (2026) is primarily a picture-quality upgrade rather than a complete redesign.

The 25% increase in brightness to 500 ANSI lumens is one of the more important changes. It gives the projector more headroom for larger images and should make viewing less dependent on having a completely dark room.

Contrast has increased by 15% to 1700:1, while DCI-P3 colour coverage is up by 10%. Lumio says this is intended to produce deeper blacks, richer colours and better overall picture quality.

The other meaningful upgrade is storage. Moving from 16GB to 32GB is useful for a Google TV projector because more internal space means less need to manage installed apps and content.

The 120-inch projection capability is also worth considering. At Rs 34,999, the Arc 7 is aimed at buyers who want a large-screen home cinema setup without buying a 100-inch-class television. However, the actual viewing experience will still depend on room lighting, projection distance and screen or wall quality.

Lumio says the projector is built in India and tested for dust, temperature and power fluctuations.
