Microsoft announces Halo Insider Program, gives players chance to play Halo games before release
The Halo Insider Program is open to console and PC players, and the latter get a chance to play the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection ahead of official release.

Microsoft has announced a new Halo Insider Program for console as well as PC players. The program is aimed at getting user insights to improve future games, products and services. Further, players will also be given the chance to participate in “public flights of in-progress Halo game releases.” In other words, players may get a chance to play future Halo games like Halo Infinite. PC gamers will get a chance to play Halo: The Master Chief Collection before release.
The current developers, 343 Industries note on their website, “the Halo Insider Program is the new way Halo fans and community members can partner with 343 Industries to improve our games, products, and services. As a Halo Insider, you’ll have the opportunity to regularly provide feedback and insights that help shape and inform current franchise initiatives and the future of Halo. You will also be given exclusive opportunities to participate in public flights of in-progress Halo game releases and provide feedback to the development teams.”
The developers note that each public flight has specific goals. As such, not all insiders will be selected for each flight. However, they do note that players can increase their chances of selection by ensuring their Halo Insider setting are complete and accurate. Further, players will also have the chance to opt out of the program if they want. Those who are interested can click here to signup.
A few days ago, it was announced that the game will finally be released on the PC. The game was initially launched for Xbox One. Game features the first four titles in the Halo franchise along with Halo: ODST. All five games feature remastered graphics.
The next major release for the series is Halo Infinite, which will continue the journey of Master Chief and Cortana. Latest reports suggest that the game might be launched as a service. This model allows game developers to constantly evolve the landscape of the game world, adding new features and quests.
Expect Microsoft and 343 industries to reveal more information during this year’s E3 conference.
