Developer Hunter Studio have announced the final early access update before the full release.
New Hidden Mage Tower area is getting added that features unique boss battles.
Core features and equipment are now unlocked through story progression.
The original Lost Castle received a lot of love from fans when it was first released all the way back in 2016. Ever since then, fans have eagerly been waiting for the launch of a sequel. While the game has been available in early access since 2024, developer Hunter Studio has announced a new update, which will serve as the last update before the full build of the game is released. Based on the Lunar New Year, the update brings a lot of new additions. Without wasting much time, let’s take a look at everything new that is getting added in.

New in-game area and enemies
First up, something new that is getting added to the game comes in the form of a new hidden area. The developers have announced the addition of the Hidden Mage Tower area. As the name suggests, this area will require players to uncover specific story clues and encounter special events during their runs in order to unlock the path leading to the area.
Not only that, but the area will also feature stronger enemies that include Ethereal Soldiers, Ethereal Mage, Eye of the Ethereals, and the Ethereal Guardian. As for the boss battles, the game will include two new battles that include the Source of the Nightmare and Lord Alfred.
New equipment and weapons
Along with the new enemy variety and the new bosses, this update also introduces a variety of new equipment and weapons. Let’s start with all the new weapons; these include the Twisted Greatsword, Twisted Blade, Twisted Staff, Misled Lord Bow, Ruinous Blaze Forge and Evil Energy Cannon.
The game also adds two new armours, which include the Void Arcane Robe and the Archmage Lord Robe. A new alchemy material has also been added, which comes in the form of the Tainted Rune Wedge.
Updates made to the story progression
Several updates have also been made to the story progression of the game. First up, multiple core features will now be unlocked through specific Story Encounter Rooms. Not only that, but the weapon interference also now unlocks via story progression. Even the Alchemy Amulet and Camp Cauldron that were previously unlocked after defeating the first boss in the previous versions are now unlocked through story progression in the latest update.
Lost Castle 2: Price in India
While the game is normally priced at Rs 690, the developers have announced a 20% discount to celebrate the launch of the update. For the next few days, until 17 Feb, the game will be available at Rs 552. While the Lost Castle 1 + 2 Bundle, which includes both games, will be available at a price of Rs 941.
Lost Castle 2: Release date
The developers have not yet announced an exact release date for the game, but they have previously stated that the game will be released in the second quarter of this year. Given that this is the last update being added to the early access build before the full release, it’s safe to say that an announcement is most likely going to be made soon.
