Rockstar recently announced another delay, pushing the release further. While this upset many gamers, the studio said the extra time is needed to deliver a game that meets the high expectations. Longest gap between GTA games

Rockstar usually releases new titles within a few years. But, this time is very different. GTA 5 came out in 2013, and GTA 6 will arrive 13 years later. This makes it the longest wait in the history of the series.

Possibly the most expensive game

Although Rockstar hasn’t revealed the development cost of GTA 6, rumours suggest it could be the most expensive video game ever made. From its realistic graphics to its massive open world, everything looks top-tier, and that typically comes with a high price tag.

A female lead for the first time

GTA 6 will introduce something new to the series: a female main character. The main character’s name is Lucia, who appears in the trailer with a male partner. Their relationship seems to be the main focus of the story.

GTA 6 was hacked

Before Rockstar officially shared details, GTA 6 suffered a major security breach. In 2022, a hacker leaked dozens of gameplay videos online. Also, just before Rockstar Games was set to unveil the first official trailer of GTA 6, it leaked online ahead of schedule, forcing the company to move up its release.

GTA 6 returns to the popular Vice City setting. This time, it is part of a larger area called Leonida and is set in modern times. The trailer shows a fast-paced city that looks more realistic than ever.
