The surprise drop happened on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel, and within hours, the trailer was trending everywhere — from X (formerly Twitter) to Instagram. Fans couldn’t stop talking about the stunning graphics, intense car chases and the new characters.

GTA 6 story and gameplay
GTA 6 will follow the story of two lead characters, Jason and Lucia. This is how the second trailer’s description describes the plot: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

Apart from Jason and Lucia, the game will introduce new characters like Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista and Real Dimez.

According to Rockstar, GTA 6 “heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will be released on May 26, 2026. In India, the standard version is likely to cost around Rs 5,999, while special editions might be priced at Rs 7,299 or even higher.

GTA 6 expected system requirements
Although the official system requirements haven’t been announced, early expectations suggest you’ll need at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and about 150GB of free storage.
