Long development time
Rockstar usually releases new games every few years. For example, GTA San Andreas launched in 2004 and Liberty City Stories followed just a year later. This long gap suggests Rockstar is putting extra effort into making this their best game yet.

GTA 6 was hacked
In September 2022, a hacker managed to breach Rockstar’s servers and leaked nearly 100 early gameplay videos of GTA 6 online. Also, right before Rockstar Games could unveil the first official trailer for GTA 6, it was leaked online early. The breach forced the company to move up the trailer’s release date.
