GTA 6: Indian pricing

Despite early leaks suggesting that GTA 6 could be very expensive, close to $100 at launch, Rockstar hasn’t officially announced anything yet, but there have been some details about the price of the game. And believe it or not, it comes right from Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, CEO Strauss Zelnick.
In one of his recent interviews, Zelnick was asked about the in-game advertisement situation of GTA 6, where, while answering the question, he also revealed the price of the game. As per him, the standard edition of GTA 6 would cost in the range of $70-80 at launch. While the other premium editions might cost more. Speaking of the Indian pricing, this would roughly translate to somewhere in the range of Rs 4,999 to Rs 5,999 for the standard edition.
GTA 6: When do the pre-orders start?
While Rockstar Games has yet to announce the details about the pre-orders, as per leakers, the pre-orders are expected to go live in early 2026, possibly somewhere around late spring. That means we could be seeing pre-orders for the game going live in April or May of this year.
The pre-orders will likely include additional benefits to ensure that more people buy the game before the game. As of now, it is expected that GTA 6 will come in a standard edition, along with a premium edition and a collector’s edition. The premium editions will likely include an early access window, where users who pre-ordered the game will be able to play the game early.
GTA 6: Technical details
GTA 6 will be a major step-up in terms of graphics from the previous GTA games, as seen from the trailer. The game will be Rockstar’s flagship title, which will push the current-gen consoles to their limits. The latest trailer released for the game, which featured hints of ray-traced global illumination, was running on the base PS5, as confirmed by Rockstar.
While the trailer confirmed that the game runs at 30fps on base consoles, many experts are predicting that the higher-end PS5 Pro could benefit from its beefier GPU specifications. As per them, the game could feature a performance mode, which could allow the PS5 Pro to be the only console to run the game at 60FPS at launch.
There have also been some reports about the game coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, though those still remain doubtful. Given that these are still early reports, we recommend taking them with a grain of salt.
GTA 6: Story details

As for the game story, the video game trailers and website details have confirmed that the game revolves around two characters, Jason and Lucia. It would be the first time in the franchise’s history that the game would have a playable female protagonist. Rockstar Games has also released a bunch of details about the other characters in the story.
Along with that, the location details of the game have also been revealed. The game is set in Vice City, and we will be seeing the return of that location after almost 20 years. The last game, which featured Vice City as the main location, was GTA: Vice City Stories, all the way back in 2006.
Speaking of which, GTA 6 is coming out on Nov 19 on the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S consoles. As of now, Rockstar Games has yet to announce the release date for the PC platforms, though it is expected that the game will be ported to the platforms 6 months to 1 year later.
