Krafton is all set to roll out the BGMI 3.9 update to Battlegrounds Mobile India players soon. According to reports, the upgrade will roll out on July 16, 2025. The update is teased to bring an exciting Transformers-themed mode, fresh gameplay changes, and significant upgrades to fan-favourite features like Metro Royale, Ranked Arena, and more. Taking to its social media handle, BGMI shared that the upcoming battleground update will be a face-off between Optimus Prime and Megatron.

According to reports, the BGMI 3.9 upgrade will be released on July 16, 2025, at roughly 6:30 AM for Android and 9:00 AM for iOS. Krafton, too, has told us that the update would be available within the next few days; however, it has yet to announce the exact date.
BGMI 3.9 update system requirements
To download the BGMI 3.9 update, players will be required to have a device running on Android 5.1.1 or above, a 64-bit processor, and at least 2 GB of RAM. iOS users will be required to have iOS 9.0 or above software support. Further, the update may also require around 1.1 GB of free space.
BGMI 3.9 update: New features and other details
BGMI has teased that the next update will feature a Transformers theme mode, with Optimus Prime and Megatron as playable characters. Gamers will be able to fight their battle at two hotdrops in a Transformers-inspired structure. Additionally, it will also add new places like Neon Town and Neon Outpost to the map alongside a Galaxy Burger Shop. The update will also let players access good loot and themed items.

Additionally, a new vehicle called Hoverboard would allow players to stand on it and navigate around the map while surfing. They would help characters move fast, shoot from the air, and even do some flip-like moves.
