Krafton has officially released the Battlegrounds Mobile India, aka BGMI 3.8 update for players. The new update introduces numerous new gameplay mechanics and India-exclusive content, including a new Steampunk Frontier Mode. The BGMI 3.8 update also includes India-themed partnerships, new in-game events, and much more.

The main highlight of the BGMI 3.8 update is the addition of a new Steampunk Frontier Mode set in Aetherholm, a technologically advanced steampunk city. It will be active from May 15 to July 14 and will offer a variety of gameplay features, including:

Titan Battles at Ruined Castle: Engage in boss fights for high-value loot.

Slide Rail System: Quickly move between structures for tactical advantage.

Hot Air Balloons and Cyclone Coasters: Explore vertical combat and fast travel.

Secret Treasure Rooms: Discover hidden gear across the map.

ODM Gear and Giant Form: Special combat abilities inspired by Attack on Titan.

Additionally, BGMI players will be able to see new weapons, vehicles, tactical changes, and much more. It includes a new Fila UAZ vehicle, which is a tough car with driver-side protection. Interestingly, players will be able to shoot one-handed weapons while driving. The update also includes the new JS9 SMG weapon, a high-rate, low-recoil gun designed for close combat. Solo Arena mode allows players to engage in one-on-one battles, but only at Level 10 or higher.

Speaking of India-exclusive updates, the BGMI 3.8 update includes the Sting x BGMI Partnership and the Discovery Island Event, during which players can earn Exploration Points to increase the BMPS 2025 prize pool by up to Rs 4 crore while earning in-game rewards. Players can also earn tokens to exchange for jerseys modelled after popular cricket franchises.

BGMI’s 3.8 update also includes the Anniversary Edition Crate, which contains upgradeable weapons such as the UZI, GROZA, UMP45, and M16A4. These weapons include unique lobby themes, backpacks, and cosmetic sets, giving players more customisation options.

The BGMI 3.8 update is now available for download on both Android and iOS.
