Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 storyline

Aang is the last known airbender, and he is on a mission to defeat the Fire Nation. In order to increase his strength, he begins training with other types of bending as well. During the second season, the plot centres on his training of earthbending. He goes to the Earth Kingdom capital, Ba Sing Se, in search of a tutor. Eventually, he learns earthbending from Toph Beifong, a blind yet very powerful earthbender that feels everything through vibrations.

On the other hand, Prince Zuko and his uncle, Iroh, have become outcasts from the Fire Nation. They try to settle down in the Earth Kingdom capital and make a life for themselves. Nonetheless, Zuko cannot let go of his desire to capture the Avatar and regain his honour.

The biggest threat comes from Zuko’s sister Azula, who is a ruthless young woman. In search of Aang, she receives assistance from her two friends Mai and Ty Lee. In the season Azula will manage to infiltrate Ba Sing Se using deception and persuasion to overcome the enormous fortifications of the city.

The climax is centred around a large-scale battle occurring beneath the city of Ba Sing Se. Azula promises Zuko an opportunity to restore his status as a prince. Zuko will betray his uncle and side with his sister to attack Aang when he is in the powerful state of the Avatar.
