YouTube Music will offer a custom radio playlist feature soon
HIGHLIGHTS

Youtube is working on a new feature known as YouTube Music Radio Playlist.

This will let you create a playlist that exposes you to new artists and songs, based on your preferences.

The feature is currently being tested.

According to a report in 9to5Google, Youtube is working on a new feature that will let users make a custom radio list. As of now, the platform allows you to customise the music queue in the Now Playing section, and this can be done based on the mood of the song as well as the genre. Now, there will be a new feature called ‘Create a Radio’.

How will the new YouTube radio playlist feature work?

The new feature is still being tested at the moment and will roll out to the masses soon. It offers three options – Blend, Familiar, and Discover. Users can select the artists they want to listen to so that the app knows about their preferences. Once this is done, you can set up a few more filters like Upbeat, Focus, Downbeat, Pump-up, Deep cuts, new releases, and popular. Once all of this is done, the YouTube radio playlist will be available for you to access.

YouTube has also created a poll to gain a better understanding of what kinds of features users are expecting. The poll offers many options like improvements to lyrics, background play, sleep timer and so on.

Youtube recently released a new feature that helps reduce spam comments and spam bots.
