WhatsApp will soon allow users to create communities
HIGHLIGHTS

The Communities tab would take the place of the Camera tab on WhatsApp.

Users of the messaging app could start new groups from the tab.

Businesses will find it easier to place orders through WhatsApp.

The instant messaging app WhatsApp seems to be adding a new section called "Community Home." This section will list all the groups that belong to a particular community and help users manage their groups. All users won't be able to see the change until soon. But a new beta version of WhatsApp for Android has been implied. In the past few months, one of the things that the Meta-owned platform has added is WhatsApp Community. It could give users a new way to put all their groups on one platform.

WhatsApp's Community Home feature

WABetaInfo stated that the Android beta version of the app with version number 2.22.4.1 mentioned the Community Home, which will be available to users in a future update. The screenshot of the new feature shows that WhatsApp could use Community Home as a section where multiple groups are under the community. Through WhatsApp Community Home, users can choose how to handle their groups. As you can see from the screenshot, there will also be a way to edit a specific community right from this section. Currently, there are no specifics about how WhatsApp might use the Community Home section. But the report says that the feature is being made and will be available to both Android and iOS beta testers in a future update. First, the new Community feature was seen being worked on by WhatsApp in November of last year. It is likely to be a new place where group admins on the instant messaging platform will have more control over their groups. It won't work as a separate place for groups to talk. Instead, it will be used to keep groups inside the Community app.

Also, in its most recent beta release, it has added two new localizations: Amharic and Somali. Both are Afro-Asian languages spoken in Somalia, Somaliland, and Ethiopia. These new features allow the app to be used in over 40 languages. In addition to these changes, the platform for instant messaging is getting ready to add new features like UPI payments, voice message playback, and more controls for group admins.
