Vhoto Inc, has launched Vhoto, a new camera app for iOS users. The app lets you extract your best pictures from a video roll. The Vhoto app runs on iPhone 4s and above, and can be downloaded from the Apple app store for free.

The Vhoto app gives users the flexibility to select any specific frame from a video imported from a camera roll or one shot from the application and creates snapshots. The app has a simple user interface and comes with a set of unique filters and editing options, that help you make the best out of your shots.

Vhoto’s Chooser looks at hundreds of still photos in your video roll and finds you the best pictures. Vhoto has a smarter camera that learns the users tastes and even provides better results with improved photo quality each time the user applies it. You can also choose which part to focus on while recording videos, by tapping on the screen.

The app allows users to save extracted pictures in camera roll and even share them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with its in-built social connectivity features. Photo enthusiasts can also create various photo communities with the help of hashtags in the app. The app also comes with Vhoto’s local channel that tells you what’s trending near you. The Vhoto app is compatible with all iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches running iOS 7 and is optimized for iPhone 5.

Google had also launched a standalone camera app for Android users. It comes with a Photo Sphere mode that lets you click 360 degrees immersive shots. It has a Lens Blur feature that comes gives an SLR-like effect that can help you change the focus of the image after taking the shot.
