Instagram to arrive on Windows Phone soon
Nokia has confirmed availability of popular image-sharing app for smartphones, Instagram, on Windows Phone platform.
Instagram is one of the most anticipated apps on Windows Phone platform. If Nokia’s new teaser image is to believed, the wait for Instagram app on WP is going to be over pretty soon.
Nokia has tweeted an image of two Lumia 1020 smartphones, with one of them running Instagram for Windows Phone. Nokia, however, hasn’t provided any date of availability for the app, but just says it’s “coming soon”.
At the company’s recent Nokia World event, it confirmed some major apps including the likes of Instagram, Vine and Flipboard. Interestingly, Twitter recently inadvertently disclosed Vine’s availability in a blog post that intended to announce the availability of Twitter 3.0 for Windows Phone.
Like Vine, Instagram is certainly going to be a major boost to Windows Phone platform. The image sharing app for smartphone users has over 150 million users. However, Facebook-owned Instagram hasn’t seemed keen on moving to Windows Phone.
