Adobe announced that it's adding support for RAW DNG photos to Lightroom for Mobile, in the iOS version
Lightroom for mobile will now allow iPhones and iPads to shoot photos in RAW format. Adobe made the announcement the update to its app recently. This brings the iOS version of Lightroom up to speed with the Android version. Lightroom for Mobile could already edit RAW DNG photos on iOS devices, but couldn’t shoot them, earlier. Photos clicked in RAW format allow more data in images, allowing users to regain detail during post production, more control over white balance, and high dynamic range.
Further, Adobe also added support to Lightroom for Mobile, for the 9.7 inch iPad’s wide gamut P3 colour space. The same is also applicable for the upcoming iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. According to Adobe, the wide gamut colour space provides 25% more colour than the sRGB colour space ensuring more accurate edits in your photos.
Lightroom for Mobile will also be updated for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus’ new cameras. Adobe’s announcement said that the company is working on profiling the new sensors on those cameras right now, and will be ready with an update as soon as possible.
