RGB Mini LED TVs are branded as the TV display technology of the year, and some models have started arriving in India. Hisense brought its flagship UX series to the country back in August 2025. Samsung rolled out its Micro RGB lineup in May 2026 in different sizes. Sony also launched its first True RGB TV in India in May 2026. They are available to buy in our country right now. So, if you want a premium TV that’s considered an evolution of the standard Mini LED and even rivalling OLEDs in some respects, this piece is for you.

For the uninitiated, RGB Mini LED is a backlight technology where individual red, green, and blue LEDs sit behind the LCD panel and are controlled independently. This is said to be more energy efficient and offer more pure colours as they don’t rely on intermediary colour filters like standard Mini LED TVs. So, you could expect brighter HDR highlights, more accurate colours, and reduced blooming artefacts.

Hisense 116UX

Price: Rs 29,99,999 (116 inches)

Hisense was one of the first brands to bring the RGB Mini LED technology to the market. The UX ULED series has a 4K UHD LCD panel with RGB Mini LED backlighting and a native 165Hz refresh rate. For gaming, this could mean reduced motion blur and input delay. Gaming features include 165Hz Game Mode Ultra with VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and a dedicated Game Bar for monitoring performance settings live.

The screen is said to reach up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness and covers 95% of the BT.2020 colour gamut. The dimming system uses 3×26-bit control for managing brightness and contrast zone by zone.

On the audio front, you get a 6.2.2-channel CineStage X Surround setup developed in partnership with Devialet, with top-firing speakers, an integrated subwoofer, WiSA SoundSend wireless audio support, and eARC.

The TV runs on VIDAA Smart OS, and Hisense has committed to eight years of software updates. HDR support covers Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, and HLG. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 for 4K at 165Hz, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and Apple AirPlay.

Samsung Micro RGB R95H

Price: Rs 2,29,990 onwards (65 inches), Rs 4,99,990 (75 inches), Rs 6,59,990 (85 inches)

Samsung calls its implementation of this technology Micro RGB, as the diodes in use measure less than 100 microns. Meanwhile, RGB Mini LED uses larger LEDs, typically between 100 and 400 microns.

The R95H has a 4K VA LCD panel with full-array Micro RGB backlighting and supports up to a 165Hz variable refresh rate. It covers 100% of the BT.2020 colour space. For gaming, it supports ALLM, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Nvidia G-Sync, and HGiG.

The R95H supports HDR10+ Advanced, the latest iteration of Samsung’s HDR standard, which adds improved brightness handling and genre-specific processing.

One notable hardware feature is the glare-free micro-etched screen coating to control reflections and retain proper colour depth and contrast.

Audio is handled by a 4.2.2-channel, 70W system with Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound+, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and AI Sound Controller Pro. Object Tracking Sound adjusts where the audio appears to come from based on what is happening on screen.

The IO options in the mix are four HDMI 2.1 ports, all supporting up to 4K at 165Hz, with one eARC-enabled. An optional Wireless One Connect box can add four additional HDMI ports and keep cabling away from the TV itself. The R95H runs Tizen OS with a seven-year update commitment from 2026 and is available in 65, 75, and 85 inches in India.

Sony Bravia 7 II

Price: Rs 2,10,890 (55 inches), Rs 2,61,240 (65 inches)

The Bravia 7 II is Sony’s first True RGB LED TV in India. It uses independently driven red, green, and blue LEDs controlled by Sony’s RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro system. Picture processing is handled by the Cognitive Processor XR, which includes XR Contrast Booster 20 for balancing bright and dark areas, XR Clear Image for noise reduction and near-4K upscaling, and XR Motion Clarity for smoother motion in fast-moving content.

HDR support covers Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and IMAX Enhanced. You also get Studio Calibrated Modes for Netflix, Prime Video, and Sony Pictures Core, which adjust the picture settings to align with each platform’s reference mastering standards, to show content as intended by the creator.

For consistent colour and contrast from off-viewing angles, the TV offers X-Wide Angle Pro. For gaming, the TV supports 4K at 120Hz via HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM, and Dolby Vision Gaming, with PS5-specific optimisations including Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

On the audio side, you get features like Acoustic Multi-Audio+, which aligns sound output with on-screen action, along with Voice Zoom 3 with AI Sound Separation for dialogue clarity. The TV runs Google TV with support for Google Assistant, Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit, and Alexa. Gemini for Google TV will arrive via an over-the-air update. The pricing for 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch variants is expected soon in India.
