Realme X7 Pro has officially launched in India in the upper mid-range price segment with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor. The Realme X7 was also announced alongside and is a slightly affordable version in the series starting at Rs 19,999. However, the Realme X7 Pro has entered a territory that has being dominated by the OnePlus Nord ever since its launch back in July 2020.
Both phones offer a high refresh rate display, Gorilla Glass protection, the quad-camera setup on the back and fast charging support. As such, it can get a little confusing for people looking to purchase a phone under Rs 30,000 in India. So we thought of seeing how the Realme X7 Pro stands against the popular OnePlus Nord in this comparison.
The Realme X7 Pro is priced at Rs 29,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage while the OnePlus Nord starts at Rs 24,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, Rs 27,999 for the 8GB+128GB option and Rs 29,999 for the 12GB+256GB storage option to choose from.
So not only do you get bigger storage with the maxed-out OnePlus Nord, but it also has 12GB RAM at its disposal which ensures long-term performance gains.
The Realme X7 Pro and the OnePlus Nord, both have a Gorilla Glass 5 covered glass back. The Realme X7 Pro measures 8.5 millimetres in thickness and weighs 184 grams while the OnePlus Nord has 8.2 millimetres thickness and weighs 184 grams.
The Realme X7 Pro is being offered in two colours: Fantasy and Mystic Black while the OnePlus Nord is available in three colours to choose from, Gray Onyx, Gray Ash and Blue Marble.
Realme X7 Pro features a Super AMOLED screen that measures 6.55-inches and has a Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It supports a 120Hz high refresh rate and is topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5.
OnePlus Nord features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that uses an AMOLED panel with support for 90Hz high refresh rate. The screen is also topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection against drops and supports HDR10+ playback.
The Realme X7 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G77 GPU. The CPU is equipped with four Cortex-A77 performance cores running at 2.6GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 620 GPU. The octa-core CPU consists of a Kryo 475 cores with the prime core running at 2.4GHz, performance core running at 2.2GHz and six power-efficient cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
The Realme X7 Pro is only available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage while the OnePlus Nord is being offered with upto 12GB RAM and 256GB storage options to choose from.
The Realme X7 Pro runs on Android 10 based Realme UI 1.0 and is slated to get an update to Realme UI 2.0 which is based on Android 11. The OnePlus Nord also runs on Android 10 based OxygenOS 10.5 and will receive an update to Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 soon. Both phones also have stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Both Realme X7 Pro and OnePlus Nord have quad cameras on the back while the latter also has two selfie cameras. The X7 Pro has a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree field-of-view, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The quad-camera array on the OnePlus Nord is headlined by a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree field-of-view, a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera.
The Realme X7 Pro and OnePlus Nord, both can record 4K UHD videos at upto 30FPS but the Nord also receives backing in the form of optical image stabilization.
The X7 Pro has a 32MP selfie camera on the front while the OnePlus Nord has a primary 32MP selfie camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
Realme has equipped the X7 Pro with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging out-of-the-box. OnePlus Nord, on the other hand, has a slightly smaller 4,115mAh battery which supports 30W fast charging.
