Do not confuse this for Windows Phone 8, or Windows 8 RT. This is not even for Windows Store apps. You will be creating touch-enabled Windows Desktop apps. One of the primary reasons for this distinction is that Windows desktop apps can easily be published and downloaded to/from the web, while Windows Store apps need to first be submitted to Microsoft for approval. The apps being developed are to be done so keeping the AIO and Tablet form factors in mind.

Are there any Specific Categories the apps Should Belong to?
