Xiaomi’s long-time dream has come true. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has finally launched its first electric car, or should I say the first ‘lineup’ of cars? Because there is not one but three cars! I am talking about the Xiaomi SU7 EV, which is said to compete with brands like BMW, Tesla, BYD, and more in the market, that too at very low prices than others. By launching these cars, Xiaomi has achieved what Apple had been trying for a long long time. Xiaomi has launched three models under the SU7 series; the SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. Let’s talk about its design first. The Xiaomi SU7 EV from the front looks pretty much like the McLaren 720S. It is a 4-door sedan that comes with five seats. Moreover, it has launched in Ocean blue colour and has a panoramic sunroof. Speaking of its weight, the car is a little heavier than its competitors. The Xiaomi SU7 weighs 1980 kg, and the Tesla Model 3 weighs 1,611–1,836 kg.

Coming to the features, the Xiaomi SU7 is packed with a 73.6 kWh battery, providing up to 668 kilometres range. Speaking of the power, this car has 400Nm of torque and can reach 100km/h in 5.3 seconds.

Talking about its interior, you get a 16.1-inch infotainment and a 7.1-inch driver’s side cluster. Apart from that, it also has heated and ventilated front seats, front and rear sensors, a 360 camera, a reversing camera, and an Automatic Parking Assistance System.

The Xiaomi SU7 has launched in China at a price of 215,900¥, approximately equivalent to ₹25,00,000. Will Xiaomi launch this car in India? Well, we do not know, but the probability of the Xiaomi SU7 making it to India is very low.
