Sony aims to target the selfie-enthusiastic with its new Xperia C3 smartphone, which features a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash.

Sony has officially announced the launch of its 'selfie' smartphone, the Xperia C3, in India. Priced at Rs. 23,990, the new Sony smartphone will be available in the market starting September 1. The Xperia C will be available in black and white colour options.

Sony had unveiled the Xperia C3 smartphone last month. The smartphone measures 156 x 78.5 x 7.6 mm and weighs about 150 g. Featuring a 5MP front camera, the new Sony phone is being touted as an “ultimate Android smartphone for selfies and video calls". The front camera has front flash LED. It is also capable of shooting 720p videos. The smartphone also features an 8MP rear camera with auto focus.  

The Sony Xperia C3 has 5.5-inch 720p display. It runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS and is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone has 8GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

For connectivity, the Xperia C3 supports dual-SIM, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot. The Xperia C3 is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. You can check out the full specifications of the smartphone here.
