Samsung is preparing to refresh its Galaxy Buds series, and the latest leak gives us the clearest view yet of the upcoming Galaxy Buds 4. The images, shared by Android Authority, the same source that recently revealed the Buds 4 Pro renders. The new renders show a design that closely mirrors the Pro model, but with a half-in-ear design like the Galaxy Buds 3.

The leaked photos suggest that Samsung is sticking to its new stem-based approach for both Buds 4 models. The standard Buds 4 drop the silicone ear tips, keeping an open-fit or half-in-ear style similar to the Buds 3. You can also see the new wire grille on the outer side of each bud, matching the Buds 4 Pro’s redesigned vent pattern. The family resemblance is clear, and Samsung appears to be aligning the entire range under a cleaner unified design.
While the visuals are the highlight for now, design is only part of the story. The source also hints at new gesture support arriving with this generation. Samsung introduced expanded gestures on its latest watches and foldables, so extending similar features to the Buds lineup would make sense. It could give users easier control of playback, calls, or Bixby without touching their phone or earbuds.

Samsung typically unveils new Buds alongside major Galaxy launches. With the Galaxy S26 series expected early next year, the timing of these leaks lines up with the company’s usual cycle. The Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro could serve as the audio counterparts to Samsung’s next flagship phones.
If you already own the Buds 3 or Buds 3 Pro, the design shift may feel minor. The bigger question is how Samsung plans to improve sound, noise control, mic quality, and battery life in day-to-day use. New gestures could be meaningful, but they need to be reliable to matter.

We should have a clearer picture, including pricing and feature breakdowns, in the coming weeks as more material surfaces. For now, the leak confirms that Samsung is sticking with its two-tier strategy for earbuds, offering an open-fit option and a Pro model with silicone tips and, likely, stronger ANC.
