It was earlier being said that Nvidia will be bringing GeForce Now to India this month, but the launch has now been delayed.

Nvidia delays GeForce Now launch in India
Nvidia had announced the India return of GeForce Now back in January at CES 2025 and hinted that the first RTX 4080 server cluster would go live in the first half of the year. By Gamescom 2025, the message shifted to “later this year”, followed by a November target. With the year almost over, the rollout has now shifted to a three month window between January and March 2026.
In a statement, Nvidia said that servers are currently being assembled in India and that the company anticipates going live in the first quarter of next year.
The statement read, ‘Thanks for your continued excitement and patience while we work to bring GeForce NOW servers to this emerging gaming market. Servers are currently being built in India, and we now anticipate the service will go live during the first quarter of 2026.’
There is a silver lining for those willing to wait. By Q1 2026, Nvidia could potentially deploy newer RTX 5080 grade servers instead of the now three year old Ada Lovelace based RTX 4080 units. The company has rolled out updated hardware in several regions this year, so an upgraded India deployment is not out of the question.
About GeForce Now
For the unversed, GeForce Now globally offers three subscription tiers. The Ultimate tier provides access to over 4000 games, long session times, resolutions up to 5K with RTX 5080 hardware, high refresh rate streaming, ray tracing, DLSS features, priority queues, and multichannel audio support. The Performance tier targets 1440p and 60 FPS gameplay with shorter sessions, while the Free tier offers up to 1080p streaming in one hour sessions and is supported by ads.
GeForce Now was briefly available in India back in 2017 at Rs 650 per month through a regional partner, long before cloud gaming was considered viable at scale. With better networks, more competition, and a growing audience, the 2026 launch would mark a full relaunch for the platform.
For now, Indian gamers will need to remain patient while Nvidia finishes building out its data centre infrastructure in the country. If the rollout stays on track, 2026 could be the first year when India sees some further competition in cloud gaming.
