Red Dead Redemption comes to mobile through Netflix Games

Rockstar has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption and its beloved zombie spin-off Undead Nightmare will launch on iOS and Android on December 2. These aren’t cloud versions or cut-down mobile ports. They are full, complete editions of both games, including all single-player content and the bonus material from the Game of the Year release. The only way to get them for free is through Netflix.

Members can download and play the mobile versions as part of their subscription, without additional charges. That means anyone with a Netflix account can take Marston’s long, emotional journey on the go, complete with mobile-friendly controls designed specifically for touch devices. Non-subscribers will still be able to buy the games individually via the App Store or Google Play.

Upgraded versions arriving for PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2

Alongside mobile, Rockstar is also releasing enhanced editions of Red Dead Redemption for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day. Current-gen players can expect smoother 60 fps performance, HDR, sharper image quality and resolutions up to 4K. Switch 2 owners get the same framerate target with DLSS support, HDR and even optional mouse controls for a more flexible setup.

The upgrades are free for anyone who already owns the PS4 version, the original Switch release or the digital Xbox One edition. Save data carries over too, so long-time fans can pick up right where they left off without starting fresh. These new versions will also join the GTA+ Games Library and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on December 2.

Red Dead Redemption arriving on mobile, subscriptions and new hardware at the same time feels like a rare moment where Rockstar is opening the gates to more players than ever. Whether you want the big-screen frontier or the pocket version for late-night sessions, Marston’s story is about to find a brand new audience.
