A few months after its debut in Korea, Samsung’s Movingstyle lineup has expanded availability to global markets like the US and UK. This series includes a pair of portable displays designed for users who want a screen that can move with them around the home. There is The Movingstyle, a 27-inch battery-powered touchscreen, and the Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor, a 32-inch 4K model with a rolling stand. This monitor has a 13-foot (about 4 m) power cable and an AC power input.

The Movingstyle is built around a 27-inch touchscreen with Motion Xcelerator 120 Hz, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos support. It includes Wi-Fi, USB-C and HDMI for external connectivity, along with phone mirroring and Storage Share for casting content directly from Galaxy devices. A rechargeable battery offers up to three hours of use (in Eco mode). The screen can be used handheld with its kickstand, placed on a table, or attached to a rollable floor stand with hidden wheels. Interaction goes beyond touch, with Bixby voice commands and gesture controls via a Galaxy Watch. Samsung also bundles creative tools such as Sketch Now and access to over 4,000 artworks through the Samsung Art Store.
In real-world use, this setup aims to behave like a hybrid between a tablet and a compact TV. The touchscreen and battery give it the mobility of a large tablet, while the stand and 120 Hz panel make it suitable for light gaming, video calls and casual productivity. The three-hour battery window may limit longer viewing sessions, so users who plan to move it around frequently will need to keep the charger close.
The Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor (M70F)
The Movingstyle M7 features a 32-inch 4K UHD panel mounted on a height-adjustable rolling stand with hidden urethane wheels. It supports swivelling, tilting and pivoting for flexible positioning. Samsung has included Workspace, Multi Control and a set of ports (USB-C, HDMI, USB-A), making it suitable for laptop-based work. The 13-foot power cable runs through the stand’s column for a cleaner look. As a smart monitor, it supports Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Gaming Hub and streaming apps without needing a separate device.
This model is essentially an extension of Samsung’s existing Smart Monitor series, but with mobility as its key differentiator. Its 4K panel will appeal to users who need a sharper display for productivity, recipes in the kitchen, workouts or living-room streaming, provided they do not mind the tethered power setup.
Both models run the latest One UI Tizen, offering multiple user profiles, personalised recommendations and access to Samsung TV Plus’ live channels. Samsung Gaming Hub allows cloud gaming through Xbox, GeForce NOW and other services without needing a console. The series also integrates Now Brief widgets and Vision AI for automatic picture and sound enhancements based on scene detection. Samsung Knox handles data security, and both products support up to seven years of OS updates, which is a notable commitment in the smart TV and monitor space.
What’s new
The Movingstyle lineup introduces mobility as its core value. For Samsung, this series targets a growing segment of users who split their work and entertainment across different rooms but do not want to invest in multiple displays. The addition of Gesture Control through a Galaxy Watch and tablet-style portability is also uncommon in this category.
Some things to keep in mind: The three-hour battery life from The Movingstyle’s (LSM7F) built-in cell may not suit long movie sessions. Furthermore, both products are still tied to Samsung’s ecosystem for their best features, such as Multi Control and Storage Share. And their pricing places both displays above many conventional monitors and entry-level TVs, so buyers need to value portability over screen size. Samsung is yet to release them in India, and if they come, our eyes will be on their pricing.
