Lenskart has finally announced that it will open its AI Camera Smartglasses, B by Lenskart, to India’s developer ecosystem. This will allow third-party developers and consumer apps to integrate their services with the company’s AI and camera technology across use cases such as food delivery, entertainment, fitness, and payments. As per the company, the move is aimed at transforming smartglasses from a lifestyle accessory into a multi-utility platform. Lenskart said it plans to build India’s first full-stack wearables ecosystem, combining hardware, AI, and software capabilities.

B by Lenskart smartglasses launch timeline, specs, and features
The B by Lenskart smartglasses are designed and engineered in India, and they are expected to be available in December 2025. The device weighs 40 g, which is nearly 20 pct lighter than similar products, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset. It also includes a Sony camera for taking hands-free photos and videos.
The glasses include an AI assistant powered by Gemini 2.5 Live, which enables voice-based interactions, UPI payments, live translation, and wellness tracking.
Lenskart plans to scale production by leveraging its omnichannel retail network, data intelligence, and manufacturing capabilities. To strengthen its technology stack, the company has invested in XR and AI startups, such as Ajna Lens.
The company, citing industry analysts, in its press release stated that the global smartglasses market could reach USD 4–5 billion by 2030, with an annual growth of nearly 30 per cent, with India poised to be among the key markets.
