Seagate has launched its 12TB internal hard drive range in India – the BarraCuda Pro and the Ironwolf Pro priced at Rs 38,000 and Rs 39,000 respectively. The BarraCuda Pro sports speed of 7200RPM and comes with a five-year limited warranty. It also comes with Multi-Tier Caching Technology (MTC) using which the comapany says applications and files load even faster. It makes use of "intelligent layers" of NAND Flash, DRAM and media cache technologies for delivering improved read and write performance by optimising data flow. The Seagate Ironwolf Pro 12TB is optimised for NAS storage which is equipped with RV sensors for maintaining performance in multi-bay NAS enclosures.
