Creative Technology has announced the Sound Blaster FRee, a multifunction portable Bluetooth speaker. The speaker features dual-orientation playback that allows the user to place the device horizontally for wide stereo imaging or vertically for 360 degree sound. The speaker comes with a variety of connectivity options such as Bluetooth, USB, and Aux-in. It also has a built-in MP3 player for standalone playback from microSD cards upto 32GB. The Sound Blaster FRee can also be used as a handsfree Bluetooth speaker phone. The speaker is IPX4 splash resistant and has a LOUD mode that can boost the volume of the speaker at the push of a button. The device is priced at Rs. 7,999 and will be available in India from October 21.
