Xiaomi claims that the bluetooth headset can provide 7 hours of audio playback
Xiaomi has announced a pair of bluetooth headphones in China. Called the Mi Sports Bluetooth headset, it boasts an earhook design and the two ear pods are connected by a single wire, which goes around the back of user’s neck. The connecting wire also features an inline microphone, which uses MEMS audio for a clearer audio input. The Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth headset is priced at 149 CNY (Rs. 1,500 approximately).
The new headset uses Bluetooth 4.1 to connect to devices and can connect to up to two devices. It can actively switch between them as well. The volume controls are mounted on top of the left ear pod. The earpods also carry the 110mAh battery of the headset. Xiaomi claims that the headset can offer up to seven hours of talk time and 280 hours of standby time. Further, the device supports fast charging and claims to offer an hour of music playback after just 10 minutes of charging. The Mi Sports Bluetooth headset are also IPx4 certified making them waterproof and sweatproof. The headset can also work in extreme temperatures and should work fine in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C.
