OnePlus has teased the launch of its first smart wearable in India and the companion app called OnePlus Health is also now listed on the Play Store. Per previous leaks, the OnePlus Band could be the first wearable product from the company and could launch around January 11 in India. The fitness band has also been listed on Amazon and Flipkart but the company is yet to confirm the exact date of the launch.

According to a report by Android Police, early access for the OnePlus Health app has started as the app has made it to the Play Store. The Health app is still in development and once released, will help users keep a track of their health data, workout records and more. Moreover, the app will also enable users to change watch faces, configure incoming call or SMS alerts, set daily goals and more.

Interestingly, the OnePlus Health app looks similar to the HeyTap Health app that’s compatible with Oppo smart wearable devices. On further teardown of the OnePlus Health app by tipster Nils Ahrensmeier and XDA’s Adam Conway, Oppo Watch and HeyTap Health were found mentioned several times in the code. However, as pointed out by another popular tipster Max Jambor, the Oppo Watch could be a placeholder as the app is still under development. OnePlus Watch RX was also spotted in between several lines of codes but very little is known about it.

Apart from this, the teardown has also revealed several animations and watch faces for the upcoming OnePlus Band and OnePlus Watch.

OnePlus Band has leaked previously and is expected to be priced around Rs 2,499 in India. The OnePlus Band is rumoured to feature a 1.1-inch AMOLED display with adjustable brightness along with 5ATM certification making it resistant to dust and water ingress.

The fitness band is expected to arrive in three colours, Black, Navy and Tangerine Gray and weighs 22.6 grams. It is also equipped with SpO2 blood-oxygen saturation monitor, optical heart rate sensor and more. The OnePlus Band will offer 14-day battery life from its 100mAh battery.

OnePlus has also confirmed it is working on a smartwatch that’s due out in early 2021. It is likely we will see the OnePlus Watch make its debut alongside the OnePlus 9 series that’s expected to launch by mid-March.
