The Oakley Meta Vanguard comes with an action camera, open-ear audio and Meta AI-powered assistance. The glasses feature Oakley’s Three-Point Fit system with interchangeable nose pads for a secure, customised fit and are compatible with helmets and caps used in activities like cycling.
The wraparound frame is paired with Oakley’s PRIZM lens technology to improve clarity and contrast while blocking dust, wind, and glare. It also offers an IP67 rating, making the glasses the most water- and dust-resistant AI eyewear in Oakley and Meta’s portfolio so far.
In terms of audio and capture, the glasses come with upgraded open-ear speakers, a five-microphone array for clearer calls and voice commands, and a centrally placed 12-megapixel camera capable of recording up to 3K video. Battery life is rated at up to nine hours, with the charging case extending total usage to around 36 hours and supporting fast charging.
It also features Meta AI with hands-free access to information and training insights. The players will also be able to track performance metrics, receive real-time stats and automatically capture workout highlights, thanks to planned integration with Garmin and Strava.
In India, the glasses also support Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada, feature a celebrity AI voice option inspired by Deepika Padukone, and are set to introduce UPI Lite payments for quick QR-based transactions directly from the eyewear.
