The new redesigned app brings a new Insights tab that brings together data from heart health, sleep, fitness, readiness, vital signs and cycle tracking. The users will now get summaries throughout the day, helping users understand changes in their health instead of simply viewing individual readings.

There is also a new For You section that will offer recommendations based on personal health data and daily habits. For example, users experiencing interrupted sleep over several nights may receive suggestions to adjust their wind-down routine.

The company also added the Longevity tab, which tracks long-term trends across heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement, metabolic health, hearing and nutrition. It uses Apple Watch data, including VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep and heart rate variability, to show how a user’s health compares with their actual age. Users can also add clinical laboratory results, such as A1c and LDL cholesterol, to get a more comprehensive view of their health.

iPhone and Apple Watch add at-home fitness assessments

Apple is also bringing physical movement assessments to the Health app. Using an iPhone camera and Apple Watch, users can evaluate their flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics and VO2 max. The process includes real-time audio and visual feedback.

The assessments use on-device AI models developed with clinical experts. Apple says all processing happens on the device, with no video recorded, stored or shared.

Apple Health app availability

The redesigned Health app is available in the iOS 27.3 developer beta, with a free software update for users planned for later this year. The update expands language support to include global English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. Apple says more languages will be added in the future.
