Samsung Vision AI: What is it?

Vision AI is Samsung’s umbrella term for a set of AI-powered smart features aimed at personalising the TV experience and to simplify user inetraction. It includes gesture controls, content recommendations based on usage patterns, click to search, and adaptive picture and sound settings.

Some of these upgrades sound quite exciting like the Vision AI-powered upscaling and generative wallpapers. Live translate can generate real-time subtitles translations thus allowing you to enjoy content across different languages.

Of course, some enhancements like gesture control, which allows users to operate the TV using hand gestures recognised by their Galaxy Watch, might not pick up in terms of real-world usability.

“The role of the television in Indian homes has evolved – it’s no longer just about watching content, but about enabling connected, intelligent lifestyles. With the introduction of Samsung Vision AI across our widest-ever premium lineup, we are delivering a future-ready TV experience that goes beyond stunning visuals. Samsung Vision AI ushers in a truly personalised, AI-powered screen experience, where the viewer is more important than what’s being viewed. We are calling this shift ‘It’s Your Show’ – an experience where users are in complete control, with the TV adapting to their unique preferences, habits, and ecosystem,” said Viplesh Dang, Senior Director, Visual Display Business, Samsung India, explaining the company’s take on Vision AI.

Samsung Vision AI TV Features

The flagship Neo QLED 8K QN950F leads the pack and is powered by Samsung’s new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which is reportedly twice as fast as last year’s chip and supports AI Motion Enhancer Pro for smoother action scenes. The 240Hz refresh rate is aimed squarely at gamers and sports enthusiasts, while new Glare-Free technology promises better daytime visibility. AI Picture Pro adjusts brightness, contrast, and detail in real time using scene recognition, and AI Sound Pro tailors audio output based on the room environment and type of content.

The Neo QLED 4K line up includes QN90F, QN85F, QN80F and QN70F. Samsung’s S95F OLED lineup, which includes the latest QD-OLED panel (at least in the 55-inch and 65-inch sizes), starts at Rs. 179,990 in India.

Across the lineup, features like 4K AI Upscaling, Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound, and Q-Symphony have been added to enhance the audiovisual experience. The TVs also come with a SmartThings Hub built in, allowing users to control connected devices directly from the screen.

There are new additions like AI Energy Mode to optimise power consumption, a Workout Tracker, and smart monitoring features like Pet and Baby Care. Cloud gaming via Samsung Gaming Hub and a multi-view mode for video calls or simultaneous content are other notable additions.
