BSNL has rolled out a new free live TV service for its mobile users, giving them access to hundreds of channels without paying anything extra. The feature comes through the company’s revamped Selfcare app, now called BSNL Selfcare New, available on both Android and iOS. It’s known as BSNL Free Entertainment TV, and the service is powered by Tango TV, offering close to 500 live channels along with on-demand shows and movies. It was announced as part of BSNL’s Independence Day push this year, alongside new 4G sites and cheaper recharge plans. For BSNL customers looking for entertainment without a set-top box or a cable connection, this app brings television straight to the phone screen.

Now that you know all the prerequisites, make sure that you install the BSNL Selfcare (New) app from the Play Store or App Store. If it’s already downloaded, then make sure that it’s updated.
Open the new BSNL Selfcare app and sign up or log in using your BSNL mobile number. You’ll receive an OTP; enter it when prompted. Once inside the app, look for the Entertainment TV or Free TV section and tap it. This will open the channel list that is available to watch for free. Pick any channel you like and want to watch, and it will start playing right away.
