The competition for the most data intensive prepaid plans continues in the telecom sector. Both Vodafone and BSNL have announced a new prepaid plan, which is priced the same at Rs 349 but offers varying data benefits. Under the recharge, Vodafone subscribers will get 3GB of 4G/3G data per day, along with unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls and 100 SMS messages per day for 28 days. BSNL users will also get unlimited calling benefits along with 1GB data and 100 SMS per day but at a longer validity of 54 days.

This prepaid pack by Vodafone rivals Airtel’s Rs 349 recharge and Jio’s Rs 299 prepaid plans. With the Rs 349 plan, Airtel also offers 3GB data, 100 SMS per day along with unlimited local, STD, and national roaming calls with a validity of 28 days. Jio also offers the exact same benefits on its Rs 299 recharge, albeit at a lower price and adds unlimited access to the company’s suite of apps like JioTV, JioCinema and more. The new Rs 349 prepaid plan by Vodafone should not be confused with the Rs 348 pack which was launched that offered 2.5GB of daily 4G data. The telecom operator recently announced another prepaid plan priced at Rs 569, which offers 3GB 4G data per day but it comes with a longer validity of 84 days. Alongside this recharge with longer validity, Vodafone had also launched a prepaid plan for Rs 511 and users can avail 2GB of data per day for 84 days. BSNL is targeting Jio’s Rs 349 prepaid plan, which offers 1.5GB data per day alongside unlimited voice benefits and 100 SMS messages daily for a period of 70 days.

Vodafone also recently launched its future jobs finder programme in India, which is said to provide up to 5 million people with career guidance and access to training content in the digital economy. The online platform is accessible for all and provides training and searching for jobs online. It does so by putting the user through a series of psychometric tests which are said to identify each individual users aptitudes and interests and matching them with a corresponding the job category, which it finds appropriate in the 'digital economy'.
