Jio had earlier announced two recharge options of Rs 349 and Rs 399 which offered 1GB of 4G data and unlimited local and STD calling for 56 and 84 days respectively.

Airtel, also launched some other offers ranging from Rs 8 to Rs 399. Here’s a list of all of Airtel’s new plans.

Recently, Jio announced its JioPhone which is a low cost feature phone with 4G VoLTE. The JioPhone is free in a way as users need to shell out Rs 1500 for it, but the amount will get refunded in full after three years, on returning the device. Buyers do need to pay an initial amount of Rs 500 while pre-booking the phone. Airtel also seems to be working on an inexpensive 4G device to take on the JioPhone.

Ever since Jio entered the telecom sector, all other operators have been struggling to retain their customer base as many users have ported or changed to Jio. Jio offers lucrative data and calling plans and claims to provide 20 percent more data than other leading telecom operators.
