New offer will be activated within 48 hours of activating your Airtel SIM.

Postpaid subscribers are already been offered with a Rs 1,000 cashback.

Bharti Airtel has revised its offerings for new customers of Airtel 4G Hotspot. New customers purchasing an Airtel 4G Hotspot will get 1.5GB daily data for a period of 224 days from the date of inserting the sim card in the device. Airtel postpaid users can purchase the hotspot device from the company and avail the benefits with Rs 399 and Rs 499 postpaid plans. It comes months after Airtel started offering a Rs. 1,000 cashback to its postpaid subscribers using the Airtel 4G Hotspot device.

As per the terms and conditions page on the Airtel site, the new offer provides 1.5GB daily data benefits for the new prepaid subscribers. Thee bundled data is valid for 224 days, starting from 48 hours of inserting an Airtel SIM in the 4G Hotspot device. It is being offered to the new customers in a bid to compete against Reliance JioFi.

However, "The benefits will not be valid if [a] customer uses the SIM in any handset other than the eligible devices. The offer can only be claimed once per handset," says the company.

Previously, Airtel 4G Hotspot used to be available for Rs 999, however, the price has increased to Rs 2,000. If you are a new Airtel prepaid customer purchasing the Airtel 4G Hotspot at Rs 2,000, then you won’t be eligible for a Rs 1,000 cashback. Instead, it looks like Airtel is offering benefits in the form of free data.

The cheapest plan available on the 4G Hotspot device is of Rs 399. It offers 50GB data per month. Another plan, the Rs 499 plan offers 75GB data per month. Both of these plans offer Rs 1,000 cashback on the 4G Hotspot device and come with the data carry-forward feature.

Unlike JioFi, the Airtel 4G Hotspot comes with the capability of shifting to 3G network, which comes in handy while travelling.
