Samsung users in India now have a new way to buy premium Galaxy smartphones without spending full retail price. The company has officially launched its Certified Re-Newed programme in the country, bringing refurbished Galaxy phones directly through Samsung with official quality checks and warranty support. The move comes at a time when smartphone prices continue to rise due to the global memory chip shortage. With this programme, buyers can now purchase refurbished versions of popular Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy A series models, at comparatively lower prices. Samsung says every device sold under the program is carefully restored and tested before reaching customers, offering an experience close to buying a new phone.
SurveySamsung Certified Renewed phones come with an official warranty
Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed programme has already been available in markets like the US for the past few years, and the company recently expanded it to South Korea as well. Now, Indian buyers can also access officially refurbished Galaxy smartphones backed by Samsung itself. According to the company, each device goes through detailed inspection by Samsung-approved technicians at authorised facilities.
The smartphones are cleaned thoroughly, checked for hardware issues, updated with the latest software, and repaired using only genuine Samsung parts if replacements are needed. After testing, the phones will be boxed in official Samsung boxes together with a charging cable, a SIM card remover, and a quick start guide. Buyers also get a one-year warranty, similar to what comes with a new Samsung phone.
