Xolo launches Q1000S quad-core smartphone
HIGHLIGHTS

Xolo has launched the Q1000S smartphone in the market for Rs. 19,000. The smartphone runs on the MediaTek MT6589T chipset.

After iberry, WickedLeak and Spice, Xolo has launched a smartphone powered by the MediaTek MT 6589T chipset.

Called the Xolo Q1000S, the smartphone has a 13MP rear camera with BSI2 and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone houses a 5-inch display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution. This seems a tad disappointing seeing that there are smartphones that show off a 1080p display available in the market under Rs. 20,000.

The display of the Q1000S also shows off OGS, which explains how the smartphone manages to boast of a 6.98mm slim form factor. A 2500mAh battery powers the package and the company claims that the smartphone will last for 327 hours of 2G standby time, 425 hours of 3G standby time, 22.5 hours of 2G talk time and 12.5 hours of 3G talk time. . The quad-core processor has a clock speed of 1.5GHz and the smartphone sports 1GB RAM. It runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The device is expected to have a launch price of Rs. 19,000 but we think the smartphone will see for less once it hits the market considering that the iberry Nuclea N1, WickedLeak Wammy Passion Z Plus and the Spice Pinnacle FHD sell for around Rs. 16,000. As of writing this story, the Xolo Q1000S isn’t listed on any of the online shopping portals such as flipkart or saholic.
