Vivo X80 Pro+ launch tipped to take place in September: What to expect
HIGHLIGHTS

Vivo X80 Pro+ could be launched next month.

Vivo could ship the X80 Pro+ with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.

Let’s see what else we can expect from this forthcoming Vivo flagship.

Vivo X80 Pro+ is said to debut in the month of September as per a GSMArena report. This would be the third phone from the Vivo X80 series which already has the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro on the market. Although the details about the Plus variant are scanty at the moment, being a flagship-grade device, we can make some safe guesses. Also, we will refer to some Vivo X80 Pro Plus leaks and rumours we have come across so far.

Vivo X80 Pro+ could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

The internals of the device could house other high-end specifications too like 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of storage.

Even though there is no clue about the underlying battery size, we have heard of rumors about either a 200W or 120W fast charging support.

On the surface, we are expecting a 6.8-inch 120Hz 2K AMOLED display.

Meanwhile, on the back of the device, you could get a 50+48+50+50MP quad camera setup with Zeiss optics and OIS on at least the primary camera. The latter two sensors are likely Samsung ISOCELL JN1 and Samsung ISOCELL JN2 respectively.

As per the Counterpoint findings, the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro have helped Vivo attain the 2nd spot in Q2 2022 in the Chinese market with a 13% market share.

So let’s see if the most premium phone of the lot adds some tailwind to Vivo’s growth in its home market.
