Samsung is reportedly going to introduce its new foldable device that may rival the upcoming iPhone Fold. The long-rumoured device is said to bring stylus functionality back after it was dropped from the Galaxy Z Fold series this year. This comes after a tipster claimed that Samsung is developing a new Galaxy Wide Fold smartphone (not its original name) and will offer a wider 4:3 aspect ratio, which is better suited for productivity and stylus use. It must be noted that Samsung has not confirmed the existence, but the rumour mill has suggested some tips about the design, specs and price range.

Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold design
As per the leaks, the upcoming Galaxy Wide Fold is said to be thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which measures around 8.9mm when folded. The tipster stated that the thicker form factor could allow Samsung to include the digitiser required for S Pen support.
The report also suggests that even if the S Pen support returns, the device may still not get a dedicated slot for the stylus. For the unversed, Samsung has never offered an internal S Pen slot on its Z Fold models, unlike the S25 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Wide Fold specs
The device is rumoured to feature a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch cover screen. Both panels are expected to be AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other specifications, including processor, cameras and battery, have not yet surfaced.
Samsung Galaxy wide fold launch timeline and price expectations
If the reports are believed to be true, the Galaxy Wide Fold could launch in fall 2026, around the same time Apple is expected to introduce its foldable iPhone. Speaking of the prices, Samsung may price the Galaxy Wide Fold for around $2,400 (roughly Rs 2,15,000) in the US. It must be noted that these are just early leaks and details remain under wraps.
