Samsung is reportedly preparing to expand its foldable smartphone lineup with its first-ever tri-fold phone, tentatively dubbed the Samsung Galaxy G Fold. While no official details have been revealed, a new leak suggests that the phone may be released soon. It has also hinted that the Samsung Galaxy G Fold will be available in select markets in early 2026.

According to recent leaks, the purported Galaxy G Fold could come with a 9.9-inch display when fully unfolded. The handset is tipped to get a dual inner-folding mechanism, i.e., the display is likely to fold inward on both sides for enhanced durability from accidental drops and wear. Further, the device is likely to get support for charging speeds between 23W and 24W.

Samsung’s tri-fold expected price
The Galaxy G Fold is speculated to come with a hefty price tag. It is likely to debut at a price similar to the Huawei Mate XT’s launch price of around $2,800 (roughly Rs. 2,38,345).
Meanwhile, the purported Samsung’s tri-fold handset is said to take on Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, which is the first smartphone to have a tri-fold display. The latter sports a 10.2-inch inner foldable display when fully unfolded. It has an outward foldable mechanism with a 6.4-inch cover screen. The handset packs a 5,600mAh battery, with support for a 66W wired fast charging and a 50W wireless charging. The smartphone was first launched in China in September 2024 and later made available in other select markets as well.
